ASHLEY JAMES

We met Ashley in January 2023, she immediately loved the empowering concept of having a bespoke sculpture:

“Well this was my absolute favourite thing I’ve done while pregnant and it’s even better than I could hoped for now that I received the finished product! 🤰🏼

This is my very own bronze statue of my bump. I’m absolutely in love with it!

It was quite scary posing naked, but I regret not having more photo of my last pregnancy - and given this time is possibly my last pregnancy, I wanted to capture every part of my body.

The bits I’ve struggled with - like the forever increasing cup sizes - and the bits I’ve loved - like watching growing my daughter inside my tummy - and I wanted to turn it into art. To remember how amazing my body is. A work of art. A reminder not to get caught up in letting anyone tell me that this same body is flawed.

The statue was created by @milestonable - she’s a mum herself who set up her business. It was kindly gifted but I wanted to capture this moment for myself to remember the process as it felt so empowering. And like I said, I love it EVEN MORE now I’ve received the statue.

KATE FERDINAND

We met Kate when she and Rio were expecting their daughter Shae into their blended family. Kate loved her sculpture so much that she chose to get an additional sculpture created of a different pose. Both sculptures are often seen in the background of her stories and posts on Instagram. "Isn't the human body just remarkable? Feeling all emotional that my baby is growing bigger by the day. I can't believe she was in my belly here. Thank you so much to @milestonable who came to my house and scanned my body and made me this beautiful gift I can treasure forever"

LUCY WATSON

We met Lucy when she and James were expecting their miracle baby Willoughby. "Went to get my body 3D scanned today so I can get one of these 🥹 being pregnant is something I wasn't sure I'd ever get to experience and I want to remember always how incredible it has been ❤️"

GQ MAGAZINE
