This is my very own bronze statue of my bump. I’m absolutely in love with it!

It was quite scary posing naked, but I regret not having more photo of my last pregnancy – and given this time is possibly my last pregnancy, I wanted to capture every part of my body.

The bits I’ve struggled with – like the forever increasing cup sizes – and the bits I’ve loved – like watching growing my daughter inside my tummy – and I wanted to turn it into art. To remember how amazing my body is. A work of art. A reminder not to get caught up in letting anyone tell me that this same body is flawed.

I’ve been absolutely fascinated with how much my body has grown and changed over the last few years. Tommy said today that I’ve been pregnant or breastfeeding for longer in our relationship than I’ve not been. But soon it will be a distant memory. I love the idea of being able to always look back at this moment.

The statue was created by Milestonable – Charlotte is a mum herself who set up her business. It was kindly gifted but I wanted to capture this moment for myself to remember the process as it felt so empowering. And like I said, I love it EVEN MORE now I’ve received the statue.
